Which app is this?
This is the product site for Screen Translate, Android package com.newtranslate.google, operated by 上海煜饶网络科技有限公司. The download buttons lead directly to this package on Google Play. This page provides an Android download; it does not offer an iPhone installer.
Are all features free?
The app contains ads and in-app purchases. Some recognition and translation options require purchased access. Available products, prices, taxes and offers can depend on your Google Play account and region; check the purchase screen in the app before buying.
An engine's name alone does not tell you whether access is free. Check its current access requirements in the app. This site does not promise unlimited AI use or that all engines are included without purchase.
What is the difference between OCR and translation?
OCR recognises the original text in a captured image. Translation converts recognised text into the target language. Recognition and translation have separate choices, and language support differs between engines. Open the relevant picker to see the options available in your app version and with your current access.
Online services need internet access. Some OCR processing can run on the device, but that does not mean every translation option works offline. Depending on your choices, text or images may be sent to online services.
Why does it ask for screen and overlay permissions?
Screen capture supplies the image used for OCR. Android asks you to approve the capture session. Overlay permission lets floating controls appear over other apps. You can finish the session using Stop in Screen Translate. Simply closing a translation result does not necessarily stop capture.
Read the app privacy policy, including its data deletion request steps, for processing, service providers and contact information.
Will it translate every app, game or video?
It works with visible text that Android allows the app to capture. Protected screens can prevent capture, and small fonts, unclear images, complex layouts or unsupported languages can affect results. An image with no readable text cannot provide OCR text to translate.
The screen-OCR workflow described here reads visible text; it is not a promise of spoken-audio transcription or subtitle-file export. Start with a selected area around the text you need and check the result.
Can I save and delete translations?
Saved full-screen and selected-area results can be reviewed in history alongside the original text. You can search, favourite, copy, share or delete entries. Auto does not create a history entry for every captured frame.
How do website download source labels work?
A small first-party script labels Google Play download links with a campaign source. If this page is opened with a recognised ChatGPT source label or referrer, the outgoing link uses utm_source=chatgpt.com and this site's campaign name. Other visits use the generic website campaign.
The script does not set cookies, use local storage, assign a visitor ID or send pageview beacons. It does not forward your question, the incoming URL, arbitrary query values or a full referrer URL. Only fixed campaign/source and button-location labels are added to the Google Play link. Without JavaScript, the normal Google Play link still works with the generic campaign.
